My clinical experience has allowed me to sit with people during very different chapters of their lives: from adolescents experiencing acute mental health concerns, to individuals and families coping with traumatic injuries, to adults navigating early addiction recovery.
Those experiences have reinforced something I deeply believe: people are more than the hardest thing that has happened to them, the ways they’ve learned to survive, or the symptoms that brought them into therapy.
I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and people navigating trauma. I also have experience supporting people with substance use, anxiety, grief, and depression.
As a person-centered counselor, I tend to understand my clients through an Internal Family Systems-informed lens. Rather than viewing parts of ourselves as things we need to get rid of, I believe there can be value in understanding why those parts developed and what they may have been trying to protect.
You have wisdom within you.
My job isn’t to hand you a completely new version of yourself. It’s to help create the conditions where you can hear yourself more clearly, understand yourself more deeply, and access the healing you are already capable of.

Surviving. Climbing. Reconnecting. Coming back to life, and coming home to yourself.
What It Feels Like to Work With Kinsey
If you’re wondering what it’s like to sit across from me…
Hi, I’m Kinsey.
I know searching for the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and I’m glad you’re here.
Maybe you already understand your patterns, but knowing why you do something hasn’t necessarily made it easier to stop. Maybe life has left you feeling disconnected from yourself. Or maybe you’re trying to figure out how to show up more authentically without constantly adjusting who you are for everyone around you.
I believe therapy isn’t about becoming someone you’re not.
It’s about returning to who you are at your core.
When life feels heavy, I offer a grounded and compassionate place to slow down, get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin understanding yourself differently. I’m not here to tell you who you should become. I’m here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with the wisdom, strength, and capacity for healing that already exist within you.
Sometimes the journey forward is really a journey home.
Therapy with Kinsey feels like:
Grounded: When everything feels loud, fast, or overwhelming, therapy can be somewhere you don’t have to rush.
Compassionate: We can explore the difficult parts of your story without treating those parts of you like they’re the problem.
Curious: Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” we can start asking, “What happened here, and what might this part of me need?”
Authentic: You don’t have to perform wellness in my office. You get to show up as you are while we work toward the person you want to be.
Let’s Connect
You don’t have to become a different person before your life can feel different.
If you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, recovery, identity, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
We can slow things down, get curious about what’s beneath the surface, and begin finding your way back to the person who has been there all along.
You.
Words I Hold Close:
“No part of me is my enemy.” — Inspired by Internal Family Systems
Why this quote?
Sometimes the parts of ourselves we dislike the most - the anxious part, the angry part, the guarded part, the part that shuts down or reaches for ways to escape - developed because, at some point, they were trying to help us survive.
Healing doesn’t always require fighting those parts.
Sometimes it begins with getting curious about them.
When we stop approaching ourselves like a problem that needs to be fixed, we can begin making room for understanding, compassion, and change.
